Why choose drone photo & video in Florianópolis?
Florianópolis is an island city where the dunes, the lagoon and half the beaches sit inside municipal parks, and a city law decides where you can surf from May to July. That is what decides how a session is planned here: the photographer you work with lives in Florianópolis and works across Santa Catarina all year, so they are not seeing the place for the first time alongside you. That prior knowledge is the difference between a session that keeps to its schedule and one spent looking for a frame.
The hour matters more than the location. For Dunas da Lagoa da Conceição (Joaquina dunes), the window to aim for is the last hour of daylight, with the sun going down over the lagoon to the west. The session runs 60 min and is built around that window rather than around your diary — it is the one variable that genuinely changes the photographs, and it costs nothing.
What does the session in Florianópolis look like?
The typical session runs 60 min across two locations: we start at Dunas da Lagoa da Conceição (Joaquina dunes) and move on to Joaquina and Praia Mole. Two locations rather than one give you two distinct backdrops, and the move between them produces the frames made in motion — frequently the truest of the set.

FAQ — Drone photo & video in Florianópolis
Drone photo & video in Florianópolis: what time should we book?
For a session at Dunas da Lagoa da Conceição (Joaquina dunes) in Florianópolis, aim for the last hour of daylight, with the sun going down over the lagoon to the west. At a busy location, two hours either way changes what can be framed at all.
Do we need a permit to photograph in Florianópolis?
At some Florianópolis locations, yes: Ilha do Campeche (Landing only with a voucher booked on the Prefeitura's site, released 24 hours after payment, with no rescheduling or refund); Fortaleza de Santa Cruz de Anhatomirim (UFSC ticket for the fortress, with hours of 08:30 to 18:30 and free entry for all on the last Sunday of each month from March to November; the boat is a separate private service). The photographer tells you at booking which authorization applies and what it costs, not on the day.
What happens if the weather turns in Florianópolis?
If lightning, a severe-weather alert from the Defesa Civil, or a closed site or beach makes the planned Florianópolis location unusable, the session moves to a new date at no charge. Overcast skies and light rain are working conditions, and often good ones.
When do we get the photos from Florianópolis?
A session in Florianópolis is delivered within 7 days, in a private online gallery: 25 edited photos + a 1-minute edited film, downloadable at full resolution from any country.
