Professional headshots

The photographer comes to you. At the office, the session uses a large window or a plain wall and offers two backgrounds in the same half hour: a flat neutral one and one with depth, where the room falls softly out of focus. Outdoors, a shaded corner near the Faria Lima or Berrini corridors in São Paulo, or a quiet street in Leblon in Rio, gives the same separation in daylight. Corporate towers in São Paulo routinely register visitors at the lobby desk, often with a document number and a photo at the turnstile, so send the photographer’s name to reception the day before.

Two outfits fit comfortably into thirty minutes: a blazer for formal uses and a lighter shirt or blouse, both in solid colours, because thin stripes and small checks shimmer on screens. Bring them pressed and on hangers. You pick the 20 frames from the full set before retouching starts. Retouching evens skin tone, removes passing blemishes and stray hairs and corrects colour; scars, freckles and expression lines stay, so the person who walks into the meeting is the person on the profile.

For a team, consecutive 30-minute slots under identical light and backdrop are booked as one block and quoted together, ideally with a meeting room held all day.
