Why choose vacation rental & beach house photography in Ouro Preto?
Ouro Preto was the first urban ensemble ever listed by Brazil's heritage institute, IPHAN, and a portrait here is taken inside a protected town rather than in front of one. That is what decides how a session is planned here: the photographer you work with lives in Ouro Preto and works across Minas Gerais all year, so they are not seeing the place for the first time alongside you. That prior knowledge is the difference between a session that keeps to its schedule and one spent looking for a frame.
The hour matters more than the location. For Praça Tiradentes and the Museu da Inconfidência, the window to aim for is early morning, before the tour coaches unload. The session runs 3 hours and is built around that window rather than around your diary — it is the one variable that genuinely changes the photographs, and it costs nothing.
What does the session in Ouro Preto look like?
The typical session runs 3 hours across two locations: we start at Praça Tiradentes and the Museu da Inconfidência and move on to Igreja de São Francisco de Assis. Two locations rather than one give you two distinct backdrops, and the move between them produces the frames made in motion — frequently the truest of the set.

FAQ — Vacation rental & beach house photography in Ouro Preto
Vacation rental & beach house photography in Ouro Preto: what time should we book?
For a session at Praça Tiradentes and the Museu da Inconfidência in Ouro Preto, aim for early morning, before the tour coaches unload. At a busy location, two hours either way changes what can be framed at all.
Do we need a permit to photograph in Ouro Preto?
At some Ouro Preto locations, yes: Praça Tiradentes and the Museu da Inconfidência (Public square with free access; museum admission is free, and photography inside is a question for the museum); Rua Conde de Bobadela (Rua Direita) (Public street inside the IPHAN-listed ensemble; free for photography from the street). The photographer tells you at booking which authorization applies and what it costs, not on the day.
What happens if the weather turns in Ouro Preto?
If lightning, a severe-weather alert from the Defesa Civil, or a closed site or beach makes the planned Ouro Preto location unusable, the session moves to a new date at no charge. Overcast skies and light rain are working conditions, and often good ones.
When do we get the photos from Ouro Preto?
